AVP, Derivative Accounting
Global Atlantic is seeking a candidate to manage the operational accounting for derivatives across various insurance subsidiaries. Looking for individuals with a strong understanding of investment accounting and hedging strategies.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5-12 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Investment Accounting and/or Investment/Treasury Operations for derivatives
- Strong analytical and documentation skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities
Responsibilities
- Manage monthly reconciliations for derivatives between subledger and trading system
- Support the review and completion of derivative footnotes and NAIC schedules
- Execute process redesign for increased hedging strategies
- Partner with investment office on new hedging strategies and accounting
- Support external auditors on derivative matters
- Perform control functions in compliance with regulations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
