AVP, Derivative Accounting

Global Atlantic is seeking a candidate to manage the operational accounting for derivatives across various insurance subsidiaries. Looking for individuals with a strong understanding of investment accounting and hedging strategies.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5-12 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in Investment Accounting and/or Investment/Treasury Operations for derivatives
  • Strong analytical and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly reconciliations for derivatives between subledger and trading system
  • Support the review and completion of derivative footnotes and NAIC schedules
  • Execute process redesign for increased hedging strategies
  • Partner with investment office on new hedging strategies and accounting
  • Support external auditors on derivative matters
  • Perform control functions in compliance with regulations

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
