This is a role with one of Slalom’s global teams – we are open to hiring in many locations and travel will be required as needed by our clients.

The Role: Global Cloud FinOps Advisor

You will enjoy this role if you are passionate about helping clients by understanding the benefit and value of moving to cloud. This role will partner with Slalom’s clients to evaluate overall cloud spend through analysis of cloud consumption across the business, work cross functionally to build reporting and modeling to display trends, and enable clients to build lasting cloud spend management capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Design and implement Cloud strategies for our clients
  • Build Cloud FinOps capabilities within client organization
  • Develop new and efficient ways of working withing cross-functional organizations
  • Understand Cloud economics and how Cloud capabilities can unlock/accelerate business value
  • Develop financial modeling to track and forecast current and future state Cloud spend for client programming
  • Analyze and identify strategies to reduce Cloud spend while increasing ROI
  • Build and grow partnerships with our Cloud service providers (AWS, Google Cloud & Microsoft) to name a few

What You'll Bring

  • FinOps and cloud cost optimization expertise
  • Financial acumen (FP&A knowledge a plus)
  • Understanding of cloud platform technologies
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP pricing structures, discount programs and usage optimization
  • Experience in defining cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives
  • experience in partnership development a plus but not required
  • knowledge of a cloud spend management tool like Apptio a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed by client
  • Authorized to work in the US without restriction

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom prides itself on helping team members thrive in their work and life. Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. In New York, the base salary pay range for this position is $145,000 to $225,000. In New Jersey, the base pay salary range for this position is $133,000 to $206,000. The targeted base salary range for this position is $151,000 to $184,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
