Global Data Privacy Officer

The Global Data Privacy Officer (DPO) will play a key role in supporting ACM in meeting its obligations under data privacy laws. Reporting to the Vice President (VP) of Quality, the Global DPO will be appointed as DPO for USA, Singapore, India and the European Union/United Kingdom. The DPO will support global compliance and perform all tasks under the control and in collaboration with the VP of Quality.

ATTRIBUTES

• 4+ years’ experience in global data privacy/compliance
• Bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge of data privacy regulations in Europe, UK, India, Singapore & USA
• In depth knowledge and understanding of the complexity of data protection particularly in the UK and EU markets and HIPPA regulations within the US market
• In depth knowledge and understanding of the risk associated with data privacy and protection

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consult Provide awareness and consultative advice to the business. Devise global data protection/ privacy compliance strategy. Ensure the business units are able to demonstrate compliance and accountability with relevant legislation. Work in conjunction with Human Resources and Information Technology on any data subject access requests. Support management of any personal data breach for any region in line with regulations and client Master Service Agreements (MSA). Ensure contracts are in place with ACM vendors/subcontractors and using current data privacy regulatory clauses.
• Execute Implement a framework of data protection and privacy management systems and processes to ensure that the business is aware of and complies with all relevant laws in all operational jurisdictions. Ensure watch process is in place on the global evolving data privacy regulatory landscape. Lead global compliance projects to meet new and/or evolving requirements. Adapt ACM Data Protection framework whenever needed and ensure organization compliance. Perform global 1st line of defense controls as directed, ensuring projects, templates, data processing applications and processes are compliant with global data privacy legislation and ACM Data Privacy Framework. Perform GDPR activities such as Performance of Transfer Impact Assessments, Performance of Data Privacy Impact Assessment, and Contracts review.
• Communicate Ensure Executive Leadership are kept up to date with regard to ACM Global’s privacy compliance stance. Maintain a strong awareness of changes in legislation, guidance and court judgements that may affect ACM Global and disseminate as necessary to relevant business stakeholders. Initial contact person for any global data privacy matter or issue impacting the Companies under the DPO’s control. Prepare answers to any authority request under DPO control.
