The Global Diversity Operations Lead will play a key execution-focused role on the Diversity & Social Impact team at Marsh McLennan by advancing its mission of creating a culture of belonging globally. You will oversee the operational initiatives, establish, and maintain key partnerships with external DEI advocacy organizations and manage our external benchmarking activities.

You will create, implement and manage systems and processes that are globally scalable, streamlined, and measurable for DEI activity and operate as a liaison to key internal groups, including DEI partners in HR, Learning & Development, Workforce and Analytics (HRIS) and Talent Acquisition, etc.

We will count on you to:

  • Design framework, assist in developing strategy, and provide oversight for DEI Resource Groups global, in alignment with the enterprise’s Diversity & Social Impact strategy
  • Create, monitor, and implement solutions to make DEI Resource Group management more uniform, consistent, and streamlined (e.g., creating/monitoring of dashboards, branding and communications, data reports, etc.)
  • Lead implementation of DEI technology platform in partnership with internal technology team and manage vendor relationship going forward.
  • Partner with a myriad of internal stakeholders to advance our DEI strategy forward (e.g., Branding & Internal Communications, Corporate Communications, Legal & Employee Relations, Social Impact, Talent & Inclusion Partners, etc.)
  • Lead planning, operations and logistics for DEI events, programs and initiatives, creating toolkits to support DEI initiatives across the enterprise
  • Review content, programs, language, and answer DEI questions, as needed, for cultural accuracy and inclusion by providing counsel, guidance, and direction
  • Support our Chief Inclusion & Social Impact Officer in managing the department budget and financials.
  • Oversee the engagement with our external partnerships
  • Conduct ongoing research on best practices and recommended strategies for continuous learning, best practice sharing and improvement to our DEI strategy
  • Partner with Data & Workforce Analytics team on ongoing analytics and reporting
  • Provide specific, practical, and actionable tools and resources (e.g., diversity dashboards, templates, forms, surveys) to increase consistency and standardize DEI efforts across the enterprise

What you need to have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of DEI experience designing programs and building relationships with colleagues across all levels, geographies, and cultures within a corporate business.

  • DEI Subject matter expertise
  • Project and/or program management expertise, with an ability to own various initiative independently, including planning and executing against outlined project plans
  • Experience with systems implementations and ongoing vendor management.
  • Experience managing a budget and financial forecasting
  • Experience advising and influencing stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience preparing and leading meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Clear and effective written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Enthusiastic with a positive can-do attitude; team player
  • Ability and willingness to learn
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook and intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint

The applicable base salary range for this role is $96,800 to $193,800.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
