The Global Events Manager for Hexagon’s Geosystems division supports the business strategy with the professional and efficient organisation of in-person and digital events. The successful candidate is part of the marketing management team and responsible for the strategy, cosultation and governance of the entire marketing organisation. The candidate takes ownership of digital tools, processes, documentation and reporting.

This role is suitable for an experienced events manager who enjoys interacting with different business areas and marketing teams and wants to learn about high-tech products and markets. The candidate is a highly professional leader that proactively innovates event processes, has high attention to detail and a “can-do” attitude.

This position is part of a de-centralised global marketing team with colleagues based around the world. The role is based in Zug, Switzerland and reports into the VP Global Marketing.

This appeals to you

  • Take full responsibility for the global events strategy derived from the business strategy and provides best practices and governance to the entire marketing organisation
  • Lead the organization and execution of selected key strategic events including tradeshows and conferences
  • Project manage cross-functional teams with the goal to successfully deliver on events and keep key stakeholders informed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Network and collaborates with senior stakeholders to deliver events that reach business objectives
  • Manage supplier relationships with event venues, hotels, booth builders, audio visual contractors, catering services, event tools, etc.
  • Work with other marketing functions to activate promotional activities across inbound and outbound channels to increase attendance numbers and generate leads
  • Provide strategic guidance and consultation to colleagues on event processes and digital event tools such as lead capture tools and digital event platforms
  • Manage event budgets and reporting

This is you

  • A minimum of 7 - 10 years experience in organising and managing large B2B events and trade show appearances
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or a equivalent qualification
  • Tertiary degree in event management, marketing or related discipline
  • Demonstratated project management skills
  • Natural ability to be detail orientated and inquisitive and understand complex organizational structures and product portfolios
  • Highly professional hands-on individual used to working with senior stakeholders
  • Skills and experience in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Sharepoint, Excel, Powerpoint) is required. Additional experience with events management, lead generation and webinars tools such as Pardot, Salesforce, Entergon, Bizzabo, GoToWebinar, etc. is a benefit.
  • Experience and ability to work remotely, build relationships and operate effectively within a de-centralised marketing communitiy based in different geographical locations
  • A thorough understanding of the marketing function and how it operates within a large multinational matrix organization
  • Engaging training and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English and German
  • Willingness to travel internationally
