The Global Security Operation Center (GSOC) Specialist is a member of a team whose mission is to help protect Phillips 66 around the clock. The GSOC team accomplishes this by performing research, monitoring, and notifications tasks that support Global Security’s intelligence, executive protection, physical security, and crisis management programs and responsibilities. Accomplishing these tasks requires a solid open-source intelligence (OSINT) foundation, a good understanding of physical security, and an ability to identify what is relevant. In addition to the requirements listed below, the GSOC Specialist must be a reliable team player, an effective communicator, and have a customer service mindset.
Responsibilities May Include
Monitoring corporate and public information sources, including social media, for threats and incidents that may affect the security of the Company’s people, facilities, operations, and reputation
Performing research and analysis to better understand security threats to Phillips 66, address intelligence requirements, and support decision making
Functioning as a key information relay node in response to security or safety incidents
Maintaining and developing the GSOC’s information and knowledge management tools and processes
Monitoring physical security access control systems and taking appropriate actions in response to an alarm, breach, malfunction, or other event
Supporting the contract security staff at Phillips 66’s corporate headquarters
Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Associates degree
Ability to work rotating shifts, including on nights, weekends and holidays, and overtime on an as-needed basis
1 or more years of experience working as an analyst in a government or corporate security operations or intelligence center or analysis or crisis management role
Familiarity with domestic and international security issues and their impact on business operations
Understanding of physical security principles
Intermediate level of proficiency using Microsoft Office application- Outlook, Word, Teams and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience utilizing an emergency notification system, particularly Everbridge
Experience using a traveler tracking system or supporting a travel security program
Experience utilizing geographic information system and data visualization tools
Beginner to intermediate proficiency using video monitoring, access control, and alarm monitoring applications
Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
