Job Description

Responsible for the coordination of Goodwill’s WV SNAP outreach program, as well as for client recruitment, intakes/assessments, case management, facilitation of individual employment plans, and support to assigned clients seeking community-based employment. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Become fully knowledgeable in the WV SNAP Program.
  • Provide detailed explanation of WV SNAP benefits to community members and organizations through public presentations and one-on-one meetings.
  • Assist eligible people with applications and support materials for the WV SNAP program.
  • Act as case manager for assigned clients and provide information about referral to services needed though community resources.
  • Assist with program evaluation and community needs assessments to identify program and service needs.
  • Confer with Goodwill staff regarding recommendations for services needed for each client served.
  • Refer clients to internal services as appropriate.
  • Assist with client recruitment.
  • Act as a liaison between client, employer, referral and funding sources.
  • Provide vocational evaluation services to assist clients in developing career goals.
  • Provide instruction to clients in order to ensure that they are completing the job correctly.
  • Interpret and analyze clients physical or mental conditions, social and economic situation, attitudes and aptitudes, work experiences, functional limitations, educational background, and personality traits to determine what kind and extent of disability or barriers to vocational rehabilitation services.
  • Administer and/or develop work samples and assessments.
  • Prepare vocational evaluation reports detailing test results, job sample evaluations, summary of observations, work ethics and attitudes, physical capabilities, and clients expressed and displayed vocational interest.
  • Provide post-employment support and assist clients in identifying natural supports.
  • Maintain relevant client records, case notes, progress reports, and other appropriate documentation.
  • Complete monthly progress reports and submit fee for service invoices.
  • Participate in company meetings as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year university preferred, with at least two years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license with safe driving history required.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check required.

  • Beginning rate of pay is $18.00 per hour.
