More Driven.The Human Resource Business Partner - Company Owned Outlets acts as a consultant to the business within our Company Owned Outlets (COO) businesses (Commercial Tire and Service Centers and Consumer Retail).This position will collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and Region/Center Leadership to provide support for key HR/business imperatives - Focusing on talent, leadership, organization and culture. The incumbent will have responsibilities around compliance, associate relations, performance management, merit planning, affirmative action, staffing, safety, training, engagement and partnership with our HR Centers of Excellence (COE).The HRBP will also be charged with the design/implementation of significant projects that will add value to the entire COO organization.This role will have full knowledge of the policies/procedures relevant to the business they support - Providing direction to management/associates (as needed). In addition, this associate will be the primary business partner on the application of those policies (including disciplinary outcomes).Primary Responsibilities #LI-JK1• Act as a business partner to the management team (in the field) regarding people, social and organizational issues. Give direction to managers based on company policy, collective bargaining agreements, applicable laws and past practices (this may include employee investigations [with appropriate follow-up] in collaboration with Goodyear's legal counsel). Provide careful review and approval of disciplinary actions/terminations and make recommendations for corrective action based on past practice/company policy. This may require on-site visits to operation locations to maintain employee relations, audit standards and policy compliance.• Act as a collaborative partner to the management team (in the field) on people, social and organizational issues. Analyze talent strategies/staffing levels for optimal productivity for the business. Execute on succession plans for key talent pools. Partner with COEs to recommend/execute training and development resources/programs/plans to ensure ready now successors (within the businesses and for all associates). Facilitate performance management processes (across the organization) to recognize high- potential associates and address low performers. Drive process compliance - Ensure proper associate feedback to progress toward a high-performance organizational culture. Help identify/coach talent to align to HR department goals.• Maintain compliance to internal/external standards (including Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Affirmative Action, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Federal Transit Authority (FTA), business ethics, corporate HR initiatives/processes and employment/labor laws). This also includes review/approval of transfers, promotions and pay increases. Assist HRM (Human Resource Management) on ensuring team assignments stay on track and are accomplished with quality results.• Lead key HR projects (such as turn over reduction, on-boarding improvement, policy/procedure alignment and various others depending on changing business needs/objectives). Partner with business functions (i.e. Environmental, Health and Safety, Operations and Finance) to ensure appropriate procedures, practices and training are implemented and followed consistently.Required Education and Experience• Bachelors degree• 5 or more years of experience as a Human Resource professional (or related experience)• Proven experience with Microsoft Office SuiteDesired Skills and Abilities• Master's degree• PHR/SHRM Certification• Experience within retail, multi-unit or multi-state organization• Experience with both union and non-union environments• Energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards• A strategic planner with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgement and strong operational focus• An articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills• Thorough knowledge of state and federal employment lawsGoodyear is one of the world’s largest tire companies.
