Minimum qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.• 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years with a relevant advanced degree.• Experience in manipulating data sets using SQL or another programming/scripting language.Preferred qualifications:• Experience with Python or similar programming languages, as well as understanding of common statistical and data cleaning methodologies.• Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and capabilities.• Strong business acumen with an understanding of business drivers and value-creation.• Ability to partner with executive stakeholders to define analysis requirements and priorities, develop and execute strategy, and balance short versus long-term deliverables.• Track record of pushing the boundaries of data and developing novel approaches to shed new light on difficult questions, or collaborating with technical partners to deliver projects leveraging complex, nuanced data.About The JobFinancial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. While working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to solve big picture challenges.In this role, you will be responsible for leading deep analytic projects to facilitate long-term executive decision making. You will partner with teams, peers, and executives throughout Google Cloud/Google to develop data-driven insights and develop forward looking resource allocation models and frameworks to support Google Cloud’s long-term growth, and provide novel perspectives on the drivers of Cloud’s business. You will power the data we release externally, and enable meaningful claims that thoughtfully tell the Google Cloud story through data.The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google .Responsibilities• Partner with Alphabet Economics and other Cloud Finance teams to establish statistical framework and analyses to surface business insights, and enable exec-level resource allocation decision making. Own project roadmap from ideation through to execution.• Collaborate with data experts across Cloud to elevate our analytical capabilities, establishing processes to unlock the full potential of our data.• Drive automation and scale across short and long range analytical solutions, working with Cloud Finance Optimization Office and Corp partners to deliver solutions.• Run the Cloud Metrics Council - standardized governance process for developing, validating, and disclosing impactful Cloud metrics (at Google Next, investor conferences, earnings, and more).• Advocate analytical accuracy in all external data claims, shaping Cloud’s public perception.
