Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning, Web AI Platform

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience developing in C++ or Python.
• 5 years of experience in software development using one or more programming languages, and in data structures and algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience running AI inference on-device.
• Experience in ML performance, systems data analysis, ML debugging, LLMs, or specialized areas within ML.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

• Create new tools and fine-tuning LLMs to improve model performance and evaluate quality.
• Improving the on-device performance of Gemini
• Develop new Built-In AI JS APIs and write API specifications.
• Develop new debugging tools in Developer Tools to support the Built-In AI APIs.
