Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience in program management.
  
• Experience with software development and feature release.
• Experience with algorithms.

Preferred qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in developing new processes, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to get things done, and organizing team thoughts and actions.
• Experience with audio systems or audio engineering.
• Experience with consumer devices.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities:

• Partner closely with Audio engineers, user experience researchers, product managers, and a broad cross-functional team to manage the development and validation of audio algorithms used on Pixel products.
• Interface with engineers across both hardware and software, estimate work efforts, define milestones and manage resources.
• Drive Algo development throughout feature life-cycle by resolving dependencies, evaluating risks and communicating status to management and project stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Identify and remove obstacles hindering development. Identify communication gaps, manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities.
• Establish clear processes to help scale execution, identify systemic problems and recommend solutions, clarify roles and responsibilities for core teams involved in algorithm development.
