District Sales Manager

Ready to take the lead as our District Sales Manager?  

Join us in Depok Tangerang, where you’ll spearhead a dynamic team of sales executives focused on merchant acquisition for our payment acceptance (Gopay) and point-of-sales system (Moka). Leveraging your exceptional team management skills and interpersonal communication, you’ll engage directly with our merchant-partners, gaining insights into their field experiences and challenges. You'll tailor sales strategies to address their needs, streamline their operations, and drive growth. Your leadership will not only expand our merchant-partner network in the region but also ensure your team consistently meets and exceeds regional sales targets on time.


What you will do:
  • Ensure the achievement of district targets set by the company, including Moka and Gopay Spiker acquisition, as well as driving district revenue growth by managing merchant transactions and Gross Transaction Value (GTV).
  • Lead, coach, and mentor your team, empowering them to refine their acquisition skills and provide tailored solutions that address the specific pain points of our merchant-partners.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Head to plan and implement effective sales strategies and manage key accounts.
  • Utilize CRM, Google Workspace, and Data Studio to monitor progress and deliver on sales targets.
  • Provide support to team members during negotiations and help address challenging questions from potential customers.


What you will need:
  • At least 3 years of experience in sales leadership
  • Strong experience in acquisition, lending products.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in order to achieve the merchant acquisition targets, and to collaborate with partners and colleagues of all levels
  • Strong leadership experience in order to lead, mentor, and grow a high-functioning team
  • Good proficiency in using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
  • Prior experience working at a startup or tech company is a plus

The Jabodetabek Sales team, part of the larger Commerce Enablement stream, consists of 4 District Sales Managers, 12 Account Managers, and 144 Sales Executives. We offer a diverse range of merchant-facing products that support our subscribed partners in optimizing their sales operations. Southeast Asia’s fast-paced market demands agility, requiring products to adapt quickly to trends. Our Sales team plays a crucial role in educating potential customers on how our solutions can elevate their business.


One of our biggest challenges has been expanding our market presence with our Point of Sales solutions. After extensive research, collaboration, and testing, we discovered that the most effective approach is to focus our efforts on acquiring more merchant-partners from various industries, leveraging the entire Gojek ecosystem to maximize impact.
