Job DescriptionWe have partnered with a premier company who is looking for an excited and eager individual to join their Pre-Construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for strategically developing and promoting our business development for either our Asphalt & Concrete Business Unit or our Railroad Division. You will have the opportunity to represent the company and build new relationships with a variety of professionals within the Construction Industry.We are hiring both a Business Development Manager and Senior Level Business Development Manager.As a part of the Pre-Construction Team, the Business Development Manager builds customer relationships and performs sales activities in order to maximize the net profit of the Business Unit.This Job Description also applies to the Sr. Manager, Business Development role. The Sr. Business Development Manager may have managerial responsibilities for other Business Development Managers within the Business Unit. Requirements specific to the Sr. Manager position are noted below as (Sr. Role Only) .Essential Functions• Actively represents and promotes our company by developing and maintaining partnerships with the Design Community, General Contractors, Facility Managers, Property Owners, Industrial/ Manufacturing Companies in a variety of capacities including Networking Events, Conferences, Professional Organizations and Associations, etc.• Effectively targets profitable business and new growth opportunities with qualified customers in order to help meet annual revenue and profit goals for the Business Unit.• Monitors and identifies potential bid opportunities with existing and potential customers, ensures they are properly vetted, and communicates opportunities to the Estimating Team.• Conduct consistent and effective prospecting in a planned and intentional manner. Prepare, implement, regularly update, and execute 30-60-90 Sales Pipeline Plans.• Proactively performs all necessary phone calls, face-to-face meetings, lunches, etc. necessary in order to maintain successful business relationships with assigned accounts. Follow up on incoming sales calls, including preparing estimates and proposals.• Properly tracks business development activities using CRM programs.• Leads, coaches, and develops other Business Development Managers (Sr. Role Only)• Performs other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, and in accordance with our company policies and values• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing• Strong business development acumen, with a comfort level and the ability to develop new business and meet with existing and potential customers daily• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a wide range of people, teams, managers, supervisors and vendors.
