Reporting to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, with limited direction from the Director of Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations, the Business Analyst will perform a full range of complex tasks related to process support with technical analysis and implementation for Graduate Enrollment Management (GEM), Graduate Admissions and Program Evaluations (GAPE), and the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) at large.
Working independently but under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for analysis, communication, and project management to implement and enhance technology as assigned in order to effectively and efficiently achieve strategic administrative and operational goals for graduate recruitment, admissions, enrollment, and overall graduate student success. They will collaborate and meet with other business analyst groups to facilitate communication amongst internal and external units to ensure successful technical implementation and enhancements of key graduate support systems including, but not limited to, CRM implementation, PeopleSoft upgrades/enhancements, Cal State Apply enhancements, OnBase enhancements, and future technical and communication initiatives. This requires analyzing existing business processes associated with graduate support technology, developing and coordinating requests for enhancements to our existing systems, assisting the business side in implementing new functionality and systems, developing and delivering documentation and training as it relates to technology, and supporting users with software-related processing issues.
The Business Analyst will assist in maintaining accurate and transparent documentation of the technical processes and workflow in order to maintain levels of efficiency and quality service.
