The Utah Department of Cultural & Community Engagement is the heart and soul of Utah’s communities, providing programs, grants, art, and service opportunities across the state. CCE seeks someone passionate about our state’s culture to elevate the department’s graphic design and concept development with fresh thinking and contemporary talent.
The successful candidate will collaborate with members of the MarCom department and project managers (clients) across our seven divisions and two offices to shape the visual aspects of our client’s projects, creating a seamless brand and campaign experience across websites, social platforms, and printed collateral. This position reports to the director of marketing and brand.

Full Time: 40 hours per week
Hybrid: in-office three days a week, and remote two days per week
Pay: $20 – $23 per hour DOE
Requirements
An impeccable portfolio of work that demonstrates an eye for contemporary design trends, conceptual thinking, and polished execution-
A solid foundation in typography, interaction design, and visual design

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when preparing work for print

Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present design work to clients

Degree in graphic design or a related creative field and three years of experience or at least seven years of relevant professional experience

Self-motivated and ready to own it

Job Functions

Create work for print, digital, and web applications

Develop templates for the program
managers’ and marketers’ use through a variety of programs, including Adobe Express and Google Suite -
Work with the team to brainstorm concepts and design a look and feel that extends across media and applications

Create detailed design standards for campaigns

Follow and elevate CCE brand standards

Implement feedback provided by the marketing + brand director and clients

Understand technical constraints and effectively balance quality and speed to deliver projects on time
