Graveyard Manufacturing Production Supervisor

This position supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture parts for the heavy trucking and automotive market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Controls the efficient use of human resources, machinery, and other resources to meet and exceed production standards.
  • Interfaces with other departments in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met.
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production needs.
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of the product.
  • Provides verification of daily production and attendance records through daily reports.
  • Conducts production and safety meetings and provides training, guidance, and leadership, as needed, for all shift personnel.
  • Plans flow of materials through the department and develop the physical layout of machines according to work orders.
  • Directs employees in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards.
  • Ensures that all shift personnel complies with company policies and safety procedures and usage of required safety equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes production systems and reports to assure that production and quality guidelines are met.
  • Investigates and resolves issues related to quality and efficiency
  • Monitors production equipment and reports failures following the company escalation plan / procedure
  • Works with other departments to establish production standards for new products
  • Maintains awareness of the relevance and importance of activities and how each contributes to achieving quality objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • Five years of related supervisory experience in high volume manufacturing, production, assembly, or similar production environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two year college degree preferred.
  • Experience in a foundry, casting environment, and/or machine shop (CNC/CMM) preferred.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
