QA Engineer (with technical background)

Our customer is a digital marketing agency that specializes in enhancing the digital presence and growth of automotive dealerships nationwide. They place a strong emphasis on building scalable, functional tools and fostering team growth through continuous improvement and collaboration.

Currently, they are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with experience in PHP, Vue.js, and Laravel. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in productized service development. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can ensure our products meet the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to review and analyze business requirements, ensuring they are complete and testable
• Identify and analyze potential project risks. Develop and implement mitigation strategies
• Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies that outline the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of testing activities
• Create and maintain detailed test cases and scripts for functional, performance, regression, and usability testing
• Conduct manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the product meets quality standards. Perform exploratory, usability, and user acceptance testing. Perform PHP Unit Tests, and identify and record results
• Log defects, track their resolution, and verify fixes. Provide detailed defect reports to the development team
• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test plans, test cases, defect reports, and test results
• Analyze user feedback and behavior to identify potential issues and areas for improvement. Utilize tools like Google Analytics and heat mapping for insights
• Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives and requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a QA engineer
• Strong knowledge of PHP, Vue.js, and Laravel
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (like Selenium, Cypress)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
• ISTQB Certified Tester or equivalent QA certifications
• Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with data analysis and statistical tools
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• High attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products
• Experience in the automotive industry or digital marketing sector
• Overlap with EST timezone
