Description
Summary/Objective
Responsible for growth and implementation of GreenPoint Ag’s Equipment Technology program including supporting current procedures and implementing new tools and resources to offer to retail, member co-op and grower customers.
Essential Functions
- Maintain machine telematic systems, connectivity, subscriptions, and data plans for GPAH and coop-owned assets, produce monthly productivity reports in PowerBI, oversee API integrations, and conduct periodic lifecycle and cost-benefit analyses.
- Organize and lead equipment operator trainings across GPAH and Member Coop sites, updating curriculum annually, developing additional content, distributing resources, and assisting in safety protocol development.
- Establish and refine machine onboarding processes, ensuring accurate fleet database maintenance and synchronization across platforms of machine information and metrics for enhanced visibility.
- Conduct R&D trials on new hardware and software technologies, deliver comprehensive reports to management with findings and recommendations, and provide strategic advice to optimize the effectiveness of the GPAH application fleet through policy and procedure creation.
- Provides timely execution on directives and initiatives from leadership
- Provides adequate and clear communication to growers, location staff, and leadership concerning job tasks, projects, execution, and timing
- Provides excellent customer service and support of current programs
- Encourages collaboration and teamwork with sales staff and team members
- Represents GreenPoint Ag in a professional manner at all times
- Perform all other job functions as assigned
Supervisor Responsibilities
- May supervise interns on an intermittent basis, as applicable
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (agriculture engineering, agronomy or similar discipline preferred) and/or 5 years of experience in an agricultural equipment support role or agriculture technologies role.
- Knowledge of current agricultural machinery and sufficiency in troubleshooting, calibration, inspection and field testing of fertilizer and chemical application equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of sales staff, clients, customers, and the public.
- Demonstrated ability in coordinating projects with internal and external resources.
- Aptitude for continuous learning and growth as well as effective communication skills are imperative.

- Ability to work through equipment technology strategies, both retail and customer focused

- Detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-starter skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks and/or projects.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Current driver’s license; must be able to meet a Motor Vehicle Review in accordance with Company policy
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in both indoor and outside work environments. Frequently exposed to extreme cold and hot temperatures, wet or humid conditions and outdoor weather conditions.

Approximately 50% or greater
