Currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the team.

The main responsibility of this role will be to execute engineering functions for projects including but not limited to: review equipment and manufacturing specifications; performing design calculations; liaising with and supervising other technical staff, designers, draftspersons and QAQC contractor as assigned. In addition to this other responsibilities will include;

Preparation of “Parts Lists” to correspond with drawings and Bill of Materials (BoMs) to support Project Management during order execution
Complete all specifications and documentation required for the repair, refurbish
and manufacture and/or procurement of equipment necessary for the successful
execution of the assigned work
Interpret the data sheet and design requirements, develop drawings from the
design input and produce accurate drawings and other technical deliverables
Select the materials and components required for manufacture and procurement
of equipment required for the project
Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics,
building materials and other physical sciences to complete task
Ensure that all work complies to relevant statutory requirements, and global
codes and standards, as applicable
Performing, as requested, the quality assurance function to ensure the
manufacture and supply of equipment is carried out in accordance with relevant
drawings, Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and Specifications
Ensure that equipment to be manufactured or procured is fit and safe for its
intended application
Assist in the design of new solutions, and the development/enhancement of
existing products
Respond to technical queries and non-conformance reports with engineering
solutions, while also understanding project schedule and customer quality
standards

To Succeed

Essential

Engineering degree from qualified college or university
Good knowledge of local codes and standards
Proven ability to apply engineering principles and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems
Good computer skills - Good knowledge of CAD, FEA and the Microsoft Office suite of packages
Effective communication, organization and time-management skills
Must be able to pass random medical and drug tests
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work as part of team and independently
Must be physically fit
