About the role:


The Guidewire Data Modeler will have a thorough understanding of Guidewire products with a specific skill set in Policy Center and Billing Center. This role will work with internal customers to design, develop, make program and/or configuration changes to deliver business functionality within Guidewire. The individual will be a leader within the team and help develop Guidewire skills and experience with other team members.

Responsibilities:

What makes you a dream candidate?

  • Translate Guidewire Cloud Data Access (CDA)/data knowledge, covering Billing, Claims, and Policy, into data mapping artifacts, metadata, and SQL script that support Data Engineering, BI, and Data Governance deliver business solutions
  • Provide expert guidance on Guidewire product best practices and implementation experience throughout the data life cycle
  • Support projects with an understanding of the relationship between Guidewire capabilities, processes, and underlying data model
  • Support coding and testing efforts as related to Guidewire as a critical source of data
  • Establish standards and documentation for Guidewire data models and capabilities
  • Develop data quality specifications for Guidewire CDA pipelines
  • Remain current with the latest advances in Guidewire CDA and system capabilities
  • Develop training material and conduct on-going knowledge sharing sessions that reflect current and planned changes to the Guidewire CDA
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineering, Data Governance, IT, and business partners to identify, capture, collect, and format Guidewire data
  • Support the development of claims, policy and billing Guidewire reports that address business needs
Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience required
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with databases required. Programming knowledge in Python highly desirable
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with Guidewire system implementation required
  • 5-7 years of hands-on experience with SQL, data modeling and relational databases and no SQL databases required
  • Guidewire certifications are highly desirable

Salary: The base salary range for this role is: USD $112,200.00 to $213,100.00. At GM Financial, we strive for transparency in all aspects of our business, including pay equity. This is the GM Financial pay range for this role and job level. The exact salary and compensation will vary based on factors like knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This role is eligible to participate in a performance-based incentive plan. Full time employees are eligible to participate in health benefits on day one of employment.
