Guy Carpenter is the world's premier reinsurance intermediary and strategic advisor to leading insurance and reinsurance organizations, delivering integrated solutions through its industry-leading analytics and advisory services, highly specialized product knowledge and trading relationships with reinsurance markets around the world.We are looking for a CSS Team Manager in our New York City, Philadelphia or Minneapolis, MN offices.What to expect:• Client Support Services (CSS) is comprised of global service teams who are assigned to specific client (customer) accounts to handle contracts, claims and accounting.• This position is responsible for culitvating best in class customer service for their individual direct reports and collaborating with leadership team to drive efficiency and accuracy.We’ll count on you to:• Be responsible for managing a team of business professionals.• Identify and prioritize workload across the team according to volume and urgency and facilitates the distribution of workload when balancing needs arise.• Ensure that team completes assignments within company standards and company SLAs.• Supervise the assigned client portfolios assigned to team which include activities such as transactional processing; following up and securing reinsurance recoveries; securing collateral requirements; and ensuring system entry is completed accurately and efficiently.• Analyze customer specific issues and develop customized solutions to resolve as needed.• Identify areas of opportunity in process improvement, system enhancement, and task management in order to provide better efficiencies.• Continuously develop direct reports to ensure they have the knowledge and tools to execute their roles efficiently.• Work with direct reports to identify career goals and support them to help them achieve these goals.• Train new employees in reinsurance basics and Guy Carpenters's systems and processesWhat you need to have:• Bachelor's degree• 5+ years of work experience in insurance, reinsurance or risk management• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)• Successful management of workload; able to manage expectations of all clients and stakeholders.What makes you stand out:• Reinsurance experience• Prior management experienceGuy CarpenterGuy Carpenter & Company, LLC is a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist with more than 3,100 professionals in over 60 offices around the world. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
