The Manager will identify and assess training needs, create tailored training plans/programs, and implement various training methods to prepare and enhance new and existing employees' skills and performance. Travel within the United States is required and could include travel to Europe to support training activities.Primary Responsibilities:• Plan, coordinate, and execute existing commercial internal and external training events using a variety of methods, including classroom instruction, e-learning and on-the-job training.• Develop, implement, and assess training programs for the new hire, field sales trainers, and existing commercial employees that align with the existing strategic goals & objectives.• Work closely with the Sr. Director, Commercial Leadership, and Human Resources to ensure that training programs align with the overall strategy and goals.• Indirect management of internal field-based trainers to ensure the effective delivery of training programs.• Review and select training materials from a variety of current and considered vendors.• Create and manage training budgets.• Establish and nurture positive, constructive relationships with internal stakeholders, field staff, and commercial sales and marketing leadership.• Effectively support training events designed for the ongoing development of Gynesonics associates (i.e., National Sales Training Meetings, Regional events, etc.).• Assist in the ongoing development, management, and implementation of a Learning Management platform.• Exhibit professionalism through appearance and ethical conduct with a positive attitude.• Be able to travel as required (approximately 25%).• Follow through with tasks assigned with limited supervision.• Provide timely feedback on all activities.• Anticipate evolving conditions and needs, develop and implement strategies and tactics to meet challenges and achieve Gynesonics operating objectives.• Accept additional projects as assigned by Sr. Director, Professional Education & Training.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:• BA/BS (or equivalent) required.• 3-5 years experience as an inside or field-based sales training manager in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry.• Certification and/or strong familiarity with sales process, selling models (Challenger, Integrity, etc.) preferred.Competencies (skills, knowledge, abilities):• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills• Experience indirectly managing a team of trainers and coordinating training efforts across multiple departments or locations.• Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices in training and development. Curriculum design experience is a plus.• Experience in the gynecology discipline is preferred.• Experience/Expertise in sales training supporting sophisticated image-guided therapeutic procedures in the gynecologic field (diagnostic alone is not sufficient) is preferred.• Able and eager to travel, work flexibly, and live within access to a major hub airport.• Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal relationship skills.• Demonstrated ability to thrive within a small company environment where flexibility and resourcefulness are required.• Skills with essential communication methods/software, including Word, Excel, and email.$150,000 - $170,000 a year
