The Vlasic brand has been tied to Imlay City for over 80 years. A part of the Conagra Brands family, we are the only facility in the world that packages Vlasic-branded Pickles, Peppers, and Relish. Our hand-packed spears and stackers are some of the most important products in the Vlasic portfolio, and we use only fresh-picked produce during our annual Green Season. Our hand packers are eligible to receive a daily bonus based on their individual production for that day. In 2022, hand packers averaged an ADDITIONAL $15.81/hour in bonus, ON TOP of their base pay!

A Day in the Life of a Handpacker:

New this year, New Packers will be eligible to earn $16.00 an hour for the first 30 days. This will allow you time to train before earning bonus. (You will have the option to start earning bonus sooner, if you begin to meet jar counts prior to 30 days.)

This is a seasonal, afternoon shift position with a base pay of $12.75/hour, an hourly $0.25 shift premium and a production bonus based on your individual performance each shift. Seasonal production demand begins in April and ends no later than December 14th. You will work with a team of other hand packers, all of whom report to production leads there to make you successful. As we are a unionized facility, you will obtain seniority after 30 days and have recall rights each year. If you decide to grow your career, we will provide you a path to advancement if you so choose, including full-time production positions.

• Follow standards and processes.
• Pack jars at a rapid rate.
• Uphold high food quality standards.
• Maintain personal safety standards.

You Have:

• The ability to work with others and alone to ensure food safety and cleanliness is achieved.
• The ability to work accurately and safely with equipment once trained.
• The ability to be stationary for long periods of time.
• The ability to push/pull and reach from side to side.
