Hardware Design Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding of requirements and effort estimation.
• Design of circuits which includes analog signal interface, sensor interface, power supply, communication, drivers etc.
• Design calculations using Microsoft Excel.
• Circuit simulation using LTspice, Pspice, etc.
• Worst Case Analysis of the schematic blocks using Mathcad.
• iDFMEA and FMEA analysis of the circuits designed.
• Schematic entry using the Zuken tool.
• Support PCB layout engineer for component placement and routing.
• PCB layout review considering applicable standards and EMI EMC requirements.
• Prepare design documentation.
• Prepare test plan, test report format, etc. for the designed circuit blocks.
• Testing and validation of the designed circuit blocks.

Required Skills/Experience:

• Hardware design in the Industrial domain.
• Must have hands-on designing products in the Industrial domain.
• Should understand components and their usage in industrial products.
• Must have hand on using Mathcad, simulation tools such LTspice, Pspice, Schematic, and PCB design tools such as Altium, OrCAD, and Zuken.
• Should have a good understanding of design documentation, and product development process.
• Should have knowledge on EMI EMC standards.
• Should have a good understanding of PCB layout.
• Understanding the scope of project, chalking out requirements, and planning project deliverables.
• Good to have an understanding on Cybersecurity for automotive software development.
