Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible not only in your community, but around the world.Primary responsibility of the Federal Director of Program Management is to increase HDR’s market share in program management, PMO and portfolio management services for Federal clients. This role will formulate strategy, develop marketing plan, identify resources including key hires, coordinate with other leaders within HDR to position HDR to capture program management opportunities.In support of that primary responsibility, approximately 25% of the role will be to work with our other business groups, market sectors and project teams to drive the right digital system solutions in support of program management and similar client decision processes. In particular, this role will prioritize the development and provide oversight for implementation of internal digital systems for technical delivery and establish external approaches that provide clear value around decision support through a changing planning, development, execution, construction and O&M lifecycle. This position will provide direction to project teams in helping clients assess current practices and design a road map based on data and our expert knowledge to formulate a business architecture to improve and standardize processes, navigate the organizational change required to achieve adoption, and to accomplish these strategic initiatives using technology platforms. In turn, they will prioritize internal systems, work flows and capabilities to improve deliverables and decision support especially as it relates to transformative initiatives (e.g. renewables development, fleet electrification, asset management, etc.).Primary duties will be to:• Work with HDR Federal Business Group leadership to identify, position and pursue program management opportunities and develop the supporting resources.• Expand HDR’s market presence in project, program, and portfolio management for Federal Business Group market sectors.• Provide overall execution strategy, approach and mentorship to project teams executing program and portfolio management work.• Coordinate with program management leaderships in other Business Groups to share resources and drive common best practices for HDR as a whole.• Identify and drive priority digital systems development (e.g. program management technology platforms, digital twins, parametric modeling, etc.) for the Federal Business Group globally in coordination with other company applied technology leadership.• Provide overall vision and direction for the strategic planning and development of initiatives, implementation of, and overall coordination and growth of the program and initiatives including key hires and partnership.Who You AreYou are an experienced professional at leading and managing large complex multidisciplinary programs. You have the ability to leverage your previous experience of a broad number of sectors within the Federal market to drive program management services. You possess and have demonstrated a strong ability as a program builder and mentor to provide services and solutions to support decision analysis for owners. You have proven ability as a trusted advisor to clients. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to be able to communicate with technical as well as non-technical personnel, and work across HDR’s matrix.The position will report to the Federal Business Group President and work with other leaders such as Market Sector Directors, Regional Business Group Directors, and technical leadership, as well as Area Operations leaders.Preferred Qualifications• Master's degree• 20+ years of project management, consulting, engineering and project development experience demonstrating increasing leadership progression throughout career with an emphasis on Federal programs.• Professional Engineer (PE)• Expertise with industry standard project delivery management tools such as Primavera, Unifier, Deltek Acumen, EcoSys• Good communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it. The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions.
