Find your future with us.The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Systems Software Engineer to join our Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) Ground Systems team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.The AEW&C Ground Systems team will be developing software applications (JAVA), working with software provided by Boeing organizations, generating requirements, maintaining Software Interface Documents, evaluating designs, integrating the Software into the Ground System. The target host environment is Linux. These teams use agile methodologies to support all aspects of product development, including project management.The selected candidate will be responsible for allocation, decomposition, from system requirements into software requirements for the Deployable Mission Support System in Cameo MagicDraw. Responsibilities also include development of architectures and performing software requirements verification. The Senior Engineer should be impactful, collaborative with the team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, excellent time-management, and interpersonal skills. You will be encouraged to actively help the team to continuously improve and develop innovative and creative solutions to products and processes.Occasional travel may be required but would be less than 10%.Position Responsibilities:• Develop architectures• Perform software requirements verification• Allocate, decompose system requirements into Software Requirements for the Deployable Mission Support System in Cameo, MagicDraw• Develop, update and maintain software requirements in Cameo• Work closely with SEIT to ensure proper coverage of system requirements• Work closely with software architects to ensure requirements coverageThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.To be considered for this position you will be required to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science• 5+ years of experience in systems architecture development• Experience with architecture modeling tools (e.g. Rational System Architect, Rational Software Architect, MagicDraw, Cameo Enterprise Architecture)• Experience with Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) or Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) platforms• Engineering experience involving system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis and evaluation, verification, or operations of space/ground systemsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):• Working knowledge of the US E-7A requirements• 5 years Experience in Requirements analysis, decomposition and allocation• 5 years experience in requirements verification• Experience in test procedures and reportsTypical Education/Experience:Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience).
