About Founders Forum

Founders Forum is Europe’s prominent entrepreneur community, focused around a number of annual events where our guests engage in open debate, brainstorms, discussions and problem solving in an intimate and collaborative atmosphere - building connections and discussing how to accelerate the positive impact of technology on the world.

Now, in our fifteenth year, we continue to host invite-only forums, tackling era-defining questions in iconic locations worldwide. We have welcomed guests such as Eric Schmidt, Google; Richard Branson, Virgin Group; Katherine Ryder, Maven Clinic; Reid Hoffman, LinkedIn; Evan Spiegel, Snap Inc; Emily Weiss, Glossier; Shahrzad Rafati, BroadbandTV; Sir David Attenborough, Broadcaster; Marissa Mayer, Yahoo; Bob Iger, Disney; Jean Liu, Didi Chuxing; Ted Sarandos, Netflix; Carolyn McCall, ITV; Tim Steiner, Ocado … the list goes on!

As our community has grown, Founders Forum has built a family of companies to support the needs of entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. These businesses cover advisory, executive search, diversity and inclusion, venture creation, investment, education, giving and more.

The Role

As our Head of Content, you will be responsible for fostering long term relationships within and beyond our ecosystem to shape and drive the most exciting ‘founder-centric’ content.

You will work alongside our CEO and Chairman to lead event strategy, design and the curation of community-driven events.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Building high impact programmes: Crafting, curating and developing the most engaging programmes by staying on top of research trends and thoughtfully inviting best in class speakers
  • Fostering long term relationships: Becoming a part of our community, building relationships with some of the most influential entrepreneurs and investors in the world.
  • Growing our community: Continuing to seek the most exciting names in tech - from new rising stars, to finding routes to connect with ‘hard to reach’ superstars, creating the most impactful content
  • Project manage high quality delivery of the event programmes: Oversee the content team schedule, setting deadlines and ensuring end to end successful delivery. Whether running a 15-person dinner or 200-person forum, the programme curator will be responsible for the content agenda, speakers and delivery on site in collaboration with the rest of the team
  • Sponsor & Stakeholder Management: most of our events are supported and co-hosted with our partners; and in collaboration with our partnership team, we aim to seamlessly integrate sponsors and founders in the 'event and community' experience.
  • Strategy and propositions: Developing new event propositions and driving the desired outputs and purpose of the content from each event to ensure the content is relevant and timely to our speakers, community and partners

This is a role for you if…

  • You’ve had 5+ years experience in a content-related role, with experience producing virtual, hybrid and/or in-person content for events.
  • You have the research skills to spot and understand tech trends and proactively develop new ideas. You have journalistic curiosity, able to dig deeper with founders to learn about the latest insights and trends in their sectors
  • You thrive in fostering relationships and connecting the dots, bringing our community together to create value and fantastic conversations.
  • You work well in a team and are an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders
  • You are able to think critically and flexibly, and make changes where necessary to achieve goals
  • You have entrepreneurial drive – you are creative and resilient
  • You are an effective writer with strong attention to detail
  • You are structured, organised, self-driven and able to project manage multiple projects, in a deadline-orientated environment
  • You are commercially minded and strategic, able to craft new event propositions and agendas together from inception that are commercially sustainable

  • Competitive salary based on experience, and annual bonus
  • 25 days annual leave, birthday leave and additional leave between Christmas and New Years Day
  • Join an ambitious and passionate team with quarterly team-fun activities, free lunches on a Thursday, office drinks, snacks and team trips
  • Access to the Founders Family network of businesses and wider tech ecosystem
  • Learnerbly - learn at work perks

Our Application Process

Please note: we do not require a cover letter as part of your application.

Once you have submitted your CV and application, we aim to respond to you within two working weeks if we would like to take your application forward. We are a small team so we appreciate your patience.

Our interview process includes 3-4 stages as standard. Someone who is accepted into the process and successful at each stage can expect the following:

  • A one-to-one interview with one of us to hear more about you. You can expect us to ask you about your CV and experience. This will be remote.
  • A task-based interview with two more of our team to understand how you approach problems. We will usually give you a task to complete remotely in advance, and the interview will be in person.
  • A final conversation with our CEO Carolyn Dawson or/and our Chairman Brent Hoberman. This will be in person and give you a chance to see our HQ!

Throughout the interview process we would like to make sure you meet a mix of our team to get a good feel for what it’s like working here. Because of this we might suggest additional informal conversations- this will depend on the candidate, their experience and who we think it’s useful for them to meet.

We are dedicated to building a diverse culture and are eager to receive applications from all backgrounds. All applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination.

If there's anything you need to help you be the best in your interview(s) please let us know. In addition, if you have a specific time frame you need an answer within, please let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.
