Head of RevOps

Lengow, an intelligent and automated e-commerce platform :

Since 2009, Lengow has been the indispensable e-commerce platform for multi-channel expansion in the European market: marketplaces, price comparison websites, affiliate marketing, display ad retargeting, social media, etc.

About this role

Working closely with the Go-To-Market leaders (Marketing, Sales, CS), this is a business critical role enabling the divisions to support the business during a high growth period. You will be an integral team leader who is able to nurture strong and trusting relationships with the Go-To-Market team and stakeholders. You’ll be operationally minded, pragmatic and have a passion for simplicity and efficiency. As a hands-on operations leader, you will enable our Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams and help drive rapid growth and productivity through scalable process improvements, build trend analyses and communicate insights, plus select and implement the correct tech stack for operational efficiency. Further, you will guide and manage the Ops team members for the different areas, mentoring and developing these individuals as they grow in their roles.


Your main tasks would be as follows :

Support Revenue Generation:

  • Creating, optimising and promoting the use of efficient sales, marketing and customer success processes, continuously improving efficiency and unit economics. Allocate resources/investments to generate maximum yield
  • Continuously improve how the revenue technology stacks (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Gainsight, SalesLoft etc.) are used across all commercial teams, evolving to include new go-to-market styles and strategies over time. Continuously assess/improve how best to use new tools in commercial teams and beyond, to remain cutting edge and always generating maximum commercial success
  • Consistent process for new commercial joiners, with accelerating time to productivity (e.g., building on existing processes, and resources)
  • Understanding key challenges and objectives of target clients and each area of the commercial team. Lead creation of overall revenue generation processes, information and content that supports each individual and team, with consistent ongoing training and always selecting the right assets to support each aspect of revenue growth

Support Revenue Innovation:

  • Supporting intelligent hiring, development of future strategy, new territory planning, updating target accounts, etc. based on analysis and data. Proactively remove potential barriers to growth or areas for performance improvement at a team and individual level
  • Design, administration and execution of Commercial commission plans
  • Championing a ‘single source of truth’ to accurately forecast revenues on a rolling 7, 30, 90 and 180 time horizon. Adjust broader planning (e.g., hiring, marketing spend) regularly, to reflect evolving forecasting and improve overall outcomes. Cross-functional leadership: Building and sustaining a strong, high performing team to lead predictable, repeatable and scalable ARR growth

Provide Business Intelligence:

  • Using data and insights from all points of customer journeys to drive operational decisions. Leading other teams to continuously improve and act upon data, ensuring visibility and alignment across sales, marketing, customer support and beyond
  • Analysis of performance and continuous improvement for AEs, AMs, and SDRs (as teams and individuals), working with functional team leads
  • Analysis of overall campaigns and strategies, to allocate resources based on ROI (and evolve/remove areas of underperformance)
  • Analysis of performance and continuous improvement for Marketing, Content, Events, Demand Gen., etc. (as teams and individuals), working with functional team leads
  • Lead and improve how the company uses/actions commercial metrics, including building/presenting improvements for the entire company
  • Lead and improve how the Board uses/actions commercial metrics, including presenting metrics to the Board (in slides and engaging in analysis/debate)

Requirements

We are looking for someone with the following experiences and skills:

  • Data-driven, highly analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong creativity and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think ‘outside of the box’ when faced with challenges
  • Highly numerate and commercially aware. Naturally inquisitive and driven by results
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and willing to take the initiative to drive performance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate within and across teams
  • A strong leader able to inspire, motivate and instil trust within those reporting to you
  • A goal oriented person who will thrive in a fast-paced, target driven environment
  • A self-reflective curious mind with a desire to always be learning and improving
  • Experience in a similar role in at least one other SaaS business (with similar properties and opportunities as Lengow- e.g., deal sizes, sales cycles, wide proposition, etc.)
  • Deep knowledge of sales, marketing and revenue operations
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving, with significant experience of both using, and optimising processes to promote, the use of data to inform decision making
  • Deep experience leading metric-driven enablement strategies to optimise the performance of all commercial team members during all phases of their employment starting at hire
  • Experience of revenue tech stack: Salesforce/HubSpot is required
  • Previous experience in a high growth startup
  • Experience working with other team leaders (e.g., Sales leaders, Marketing leaders)
