Position Overview:
As the first Senior Data Scientist supporting our marketing team, your role is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making and strategy formulation. You will specialize in analyzing large datasets to uncover actionable insights that enhance customer segmentation, acquisition, and retention efforts. In this role, you can expect to utilize advanced statistical models and machine learning to develop predictive models. All of this is in effort to optimize marketing campaigns and improve ROI. This position will collaborate closely with our marketing teams to translate complex data findings into understandable insights and recommendations. Think of this role as an embedded resource to guide marketing initiatives from conception through to evaluation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining techniques to extract insights from complex datasets related to customer behavior, marketing campaigns, and sales performance
Design and conduct A/B tests and experiments to evaluate marketing hypotheses and optimize campaign performance
• Own MMM and MTA
• Assist building a roadmap to launch into production and own the reporting layer for this
• Drive strategy for the marketing team using models developed
• Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate insights and key findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Responsible for accurate and consistent reporting to guide marketing spend and strategy
You will likely have:
• Excellent ability using Python, SQL, and BigQuery
• Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders
• Production, cloud- based platforms using IDEs for machine learning (notebook instances, model hosting/management, etc.)
• A background in designing, fine-tuning, and building production ready ML models
• Recent partnership with marketing professionals or organizations
• Clustering or other unsupervised learning experience
You may have:
• Experience working with data sources that have not yet been ingested
• Recent experience building and/or deploying new roadmaps
• Exposure mentoring or working with junior data scientists
• Startup or telehealth experience
• Experience working in a startup environment, a telehealth company, or a DTC business model
