Your job is more than a job.The Patient Safety & Quality Data Analyst is responsible for methodically analyzing datasets to identify trends and/or abnormalities. Assists during the development of data analysis plans in collaboration with team members, physicians, and/or medical colleagues.Your every dayDesigns and implements data collection methodology, tools and processes:• Understands and communicates objectives and scope of collection initiative, including an understanding of global implications across the system, as evidenced by satisfaction survey results.• Determines the validity of clinical data collected and in conjunction with senior team members and the management team.Manages quality and outcomes data to be in compliance with accrediting/regularity bodies:• Understands and knows how to access existing sources of clinical, satisfaction, financial data, understanding the features, limitations and restrictions of data being assessed, as demonstrated by participation in available instruction.• Uses appropriate analytical software and skills to perform accurate and comprehensive data management, extraction and manipulation, as demonstrated by minimal rework and errors.• Determines, in conjunction with cross-functional team members, appropriate data to collect and analyze.• Research (internally & externally), develops, employs appropriate data collection methodology, tools and processes that maximizes collection efficiency and minimizes collection bias, as documented in the customer request form.Demonstrates knowledge of performance improvement process:• Assimilates, evaluates, prepares and submits reports on time.• Analyzes and presents data collected in format beneficial to users.• Evaluates quality program outcomes and suggests ideas to adjust/revise goals as indicated in annual review of the program.Communicates results or analyses and makes appropriate recommendations:• Communicates updates and results in a timely fashion according to the agreed schedule, as measured by documented delivery dates and customer satisfaction survey results.This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this department. This is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities, and LCMC Health reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organizational needs as necessary.Your must haves• 1 year of experience in managing projects involving Process Improvement and broad scale systems thinking, research, or analysis.• Bachelor's Degree in related field.• Able to perform data mining and analysis with minimal direction.• Mathematical skills- Ability add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, using• whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.• Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.• Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of work processing software, able to use information systems to input data, prepare documents and reports, monitor accuracy and completeness of information.• Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.• Ability to interact by telephone, face to face as a representative of the hospital with individuals and groups of customers seeking service or assistance.WORK SHIFT:Days (United States of America)LCMC Health is a community.Our people make health happen.
