Hermeus is an aerospace and defense technology company founded to radically accelerate air travel by delivering hypersonic aircraft. The company aims to develop hypersonic aircraft quickly and cost-effectively by integrating hardware-rich, iterative development with modern computing and autonomy. This approach has been validated through design, build, and test of the company’s first combined turbojet-ramjet engine and is now being scaled through its first flight vehicle program, Quarterhorse. Hermeus is also developing Darkhorse — an uncrewed hypersonic aircraft designed to deliver unique asymmetric capabilities to the warfighter.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the productization of Hermeus' roadmap and leading the execution of contractual and proposal efforts. The Product Manager will play a critical role in shaping the future of our products, ensuring alignment with market needs, and driving successful contract execution.
The location preference for this position is Atlanta. However, Hermeus will consider a hybrid model for qualified candidates that are willing to travel as required.
Responsibilities:- Product Development:
- Develop and maintain relevant product roadmaps with direct input and alignment from engineering, growth, and executive leadership.
- Manage all relevant collateral development including product tear sheets and documentation that may be utilized in support of customer engagements
- Provide insight and connectivity to external technologies and companies that can/will serve as technical partners (e.g. support B2B product relationships)
- Maintain market acuity regarding competitors, partners, and relevant technologies to inform the product roadmaps
- Contract and Account Management:
- Ensure on-time and on-budget contract execution and delivery.
- Act as the primary interface with customers, main point-of-contact for existing contracts and develop/leverage relationships to create opportunities for increased contracts and revenue.
- Work directly with the security team to ensure all relevant and appropriate security protocols and procedures are in place to execute work. This includes document management and storage, read-ons for relevant team members, program protection planning etc.
- Proposal Execution & Support:
- Serve as the direct liaison for technical input and story creation with the Proposal team. Identify and corral relevant technical expertise to draft white paper, BAA, RFI, and RFP responses.
- Own the drafting of Statements of Work (SOW) and scope for proposals with support from the proposal team
- Own schedule development and resourcing based on proposal scope.
- Assist finance team with proposal pricing and the proposal team with overall proposal execution.
- Supplier Base Engagement and Development:
- Identify and maintain a landscape of supplier capabilities.
- Develop strategic relationships and partnerships with suppliers to improve product offerings and Pwin rates
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product/program management in the aerospace industry.
- At least 5 years of contract management experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing product roadmaps and executing contracts.
- Strong understanding of proposal development processes/execution and contract management and customer negotiations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers and suppliers effectively.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and drive product innovation.
- Knowledge of product/program management best practices, including risk management, earned value management, and project scheduling tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. (TS/SCI cleared preferred)
$170,000 - $190,000 a year
