Position Summary:
Prof. Yang’s lab studies the physical properties of quantum materials. His recent research interest is ferroelectric quantum materials. The synthesis of high-quality ferroelectric single crystals is challenging. This project aims to understand the synthesis and functional properties of several ferroelectric quantum materials. In this project, you will be working with Prof. Yang and the graduate students in his group. You will be trained in a broad range of materials research such as sample synthesis, crystal growth, characterization, functional property measurement and analysis.

Essential Functions:
  • Sample synthesis, crystal growth, characterization, and programming.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
  • Know solid state reaction, crystal growth, or LabView programing.
  • At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
