Senior Property Accountant

Higher Ground Education is looking for a Senior Property Accountant to work closely with the Lease Accounting and Construction Accounting teams, reporting to the Associate Director of Property Accounting.

Skills

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent
4+ years of experience in accounting or related field
Mastery of accounting fundamentals and US GAAP
Experience with ASC 842 and audit support
Rigorous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

Review ProLease data for accuracy and completeness to ensure compliance with ASC 842
Prepare monthly reconciliations for Lease related accounts
Act as liaison with auditors, respond to queries, and perform walk-throughs
Prepare and review reconciliations for construction related accounts
Maintain tracking system for timely business tax returns and renewals for all US locations
Prepare accruals, amortizations, and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and continuously improve procedures
Use analytical and problem-solving skills with tools like Excel and Sage Intacct

Education
