Quality Assurance Technician

Position Summary Performs analysis of manufactured product according to established test method standards to ensure that product meets quality specifications. • Ensure that product meets all work order requirements, quality, customer and internal specifications. • Perform material testing per specification, record test results and disposition material as pass/fail per results. • Identify non-conforming material, communicate findings, and process paperwork to accurately track, identify, and quarantine according to procedures. • Maintain accurate data, record keeping and filing. • Maintains lab and workstations to housekeeping standards. • Perform duties according to procedure to execute test Methods, product specifications, work order reports and other required functions. • Utilize computer and scheduling database for production schedule determination, job history file production, and non-conforming report entry. • Assist Quality, Technical, and Supervisors during job history investigations and material studies. • Submit product samples to sales, manufacturing, and quality. • Assists with COC/COA’s as needed. • Provide support to the manufacturing floor to aid in the efficient production of quality material. • Train new technicians as required, including the accurate performance of test methods. • Complete all required documentation per procedure. Duties and Responsibilities Ability to operate test equipment, and to perform test methods according to procedure and specification. Accurately assess test results and disposition product according to results. Attentive to details and accuracy in job performance. Ability to perform computer data entry functions. Physical Demands Frequent walking required. Employee Requirements Work overtime as required. Work Environment Work environment may involve safety precautions when working around production machines and working in the lab as well as handling paper waste and non- hazardous lab chemicals.
