About the Work:
The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer helps build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will be part of a talented team that demonstrates superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security.
- Configure, deploy, and manage cloud-based resources on platforms including both AWS and Azure, ensuring high availability and security.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the company's business needs.
- Secure identities through adoption and execution of new policies and procedures across the enterprise including, but not limited to, SSO, MFA, and auditing aberrant login attempts.
- Identify and execute quarterly and yearly audits for compliance and security audits.
- Optimize network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure minimal downtime by implementing best practices in network administration.
- Interface with Legal and adjacent teams to ensure regulatory compliance concerns are remediated and mitigated.
- Implement security best practices in cloud environments.
- Interface with Development, Cloud Security Engineer, Support, and associated staff to remediate identified risks to the organization.
- Perform planning and complete testing for disaster recovery scenarios.
- Perform planning for ransomware response.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure and network configurations, ensuring knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding for new team members.
- Architect and advise on new infrastructure and solutions to adhere to company security standards.
- Maintain Cloud Administrator Certification.
- Proactively audit and suggest remediations for legacy infrastructure and security configurations.
- Provide and enforce infrastructure guidelines.
- Audit and establish benchmarks for infrastructure configuration.
- Create and maintain ticketing request procedure for all new Infrastructure.
- Monitor resource utilization, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and implement scalability solutions as needed.
- Ensure all non-PaaS/SaaS/IaaS infrastructure is compliant and patched.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred, not required.
- Two to four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Preference given to candidates with Industry Certifications.
- Understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Home Instead and the related role to the Information Technology department.
- Demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies, and procedures.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and a strong understanding of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical team members.
- Ability to establish collaborative working relationships with management and colleagues.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills essential, as well as sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize daily, monthly, and yearly work.
- Advanced knowledge of network protocols, firewall management, routing, and switching, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize network performance.
- Ability to oversee projects from beginning to end, including incorporation of new ideas and best practices and evaluation of processes and procedures to recommend improvements and changes when appropriate.
- Ability to work evenings or weekends in rare cases of emergency support.

Our range reflects the hiring range for this position. We use national average to determine pay as we are a remote first company. Individual pay is based on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, experience, education, and training.
Base pay is just a part of our total rewards program. Honor offers generous equity packages that increase with position level and responsibilities, and a 401K with up to a 4% employer match.
We provide medical, dental and vision coverage including zero cost plans for employees. $97,000—$110,000 USD

Honor is remote friendly! We're hiring across the U.S., with an entirely virtual interview and onboarding process. Most of our positions are remote/work from home and do not require permanent relocation. As conditions allow, we have office space for in-person collaboration in our San Francisco Bay Area, CA and Austin, TX hubs.
