Senior Counsel

Honor is looking for a Senior Counsel to lead the company's legal team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly focusing on HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and contract review.

Skills

Strong understanding of HIPAA, CCPA, PIPEDA, and other data protection laws.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and draft complex contracts.

Responsibilities

Serve as the company’s primary legal advisor on issues related to HIPAA compliance, data privacy, AI, and technology.
Draft, review, and update policies related to data privacy, retention, and security.
Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements emphasizing data protection and privacy.
Lead the legal response to any data breaches, including coordinating with relevant departments and managing disclosures.
Develop and deliver training programs to ensure company-wide awareness and compliance with data privacy laws and policies.
Collaborate with various teams to implement comprehensive data protection and privacy strategies.

Education

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in at least one state bar.
