The ideal candidate for this position should be comfortable using tools and technology. They must also have a strong attention to detail and be able to work well independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up machines and monitor to make sure processes are being followed correctly.
Read work orders to determine the machine setup procedures and profile type.
Select and install tooling and cutting heads.
Run wood stock through the molder and inspect for proper profile specifications.
Complete production records that indicate the quantity, footage, produced, profiles, species, and customer identification.
Monitor the operation of machines during runs and adjust to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
Examine raw material for defects and to ensure conformity to size and other specification standards.
Required Experience:
Must have the knowledge & ability to operate, calibrate, and maintain a molder machine.
Must have strong attention to detail.
Have at least 2 years of experience operating a molder machine.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and machinery effectively.
