Sr Product Designer - HTS APAC

About the job


The Hopper Technology Solution (HTS) team - APAC is currently looking for an experienced Product Designer to join the Hopper Technology Solutions team to own and lead the delivery 


This role operates across a much broader scope than traditional design roles.


As such, we would expect someone to join us that can:


- Deal with ambiguity and balance building out multiple features at once without jeopardizing the quality of the design or lose sight of the customer experience

- Generate innovative and delightful design components that help us meet our product and business goals

- Lead UX research of consumer travel shopping patterns in multiple markets

- Lead and manage detailed and lengthy stakeholder feedback and requirements from an external partner (one of the largest banks in the region)



What would your day-to-day look like:
  • Design the best place to book travel in APAC!
  • Leverage customer research and data to find ways to make the product more and more convenient and rewarding for customers
  • Diving deep on product data to identify opportunities to improve the product through design
  • Building and maintaining an organized design portfolio for our partner for the purpose of compliance and legal reviews
  • Lead design reviews with an external partner and make strong business cases for why we should build what we want to build


An ideal candidate:
  • Has the ability to work in a start-up environment AND a traditional business environment
  • Makes design decisions with quantitative and qualitative data and is comfortable making decisions without absolute certainty
  • Exhibits a detail-oriented approach to design 
  • Can clearly explain their thinking verbally and through writing to help drive clarity, uncover new questions, and get to a resolution working both independently and with various team members or stakeholders
  • Takes ownership and moves quickly while exhibiting good judgment
  • Shows technical depth that allows them to communicate with, understand, and earn the respect of world-class engineers 
  • Has a strong focus on doing what is right for the customer and the company without ego
  • Is highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment and absorbs the greater context of organizational goals and appropriately weighs this as an input into their product work
  • Has experience with consumer marketplaces, as a plus
