Responsibilities:
- Obtain and follow work plan provided by manager according to the events planned.

Under the directions of the dining room and sales and operations manager, ensure all areas of the mansion are clean, orderly, and attractive for the mansion’s social and educational guests.

Launder linens and staff uniforms from Dining Services and Campus Dining.

Maintain the outside grounds around the building after events to ensure they are clear of stemware, china and trash including emptying of trash receptacles.

Examine building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and make recommendations to management.

Ensure adequate supplies by inventorying stock.

Make recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation.

Attend staff meetings to discuss company policies and patrons' complaints.

Assist with orientation training and in-service training for service staff to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.

Other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements (High School or Equivalent), plus one to two years’ experience as a housekeeper in a catering facility, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with hours that coincide with scheduled events, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of times.
Occasionally lifts items up to 50lbs.
Must be willing to work in both indoor and outdoor settings where varying weather and temperature conditions can be expected.
PHYSICAL EFFORT AND STRESS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.
Minimum Salary: USD $38,000.00/Yr. Maximum Salary: USD $45,000.00/Yr.
