Job Description:
Provides for optimum cleanliness, sanitation, order and an aesthetically pleaseing hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Specific Knowledge, Skills, and Capabilities:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key constituents and all levels of management and employees.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
Ability to work independently.
Basic level computer proficiency and ability to read and use email for department communications.
Adheres to standards of safety and infection control that meet federal and state regulations.
Essential Functions:
Ensures that department specific policies and procedures with regard to safety, infection control, proper use of equipment, and sanitation are met 100% of the time.
Apply cleansers, solvents and cleaning agents safely and to manufacturer’s recommendations
Vacuum all carpeted areas including entrance mats.
Dust & apply chemical cleaner to surface areas per department and manufacturer specifications
Cleaning & Disinfecting:
- Patient Rooms – Occupied/Unoccupied
- Restrooms
- Public Areas
- Offices
- Walls
- Specialty Areas
- Ancillary Areas
Empty trash and recycle containers per department specifications
Linen Duties.
Documents completed projects.
Completes time studies.
Maintains patient confidentiality.
Attends all department meetings.
Other duties as assign.
