Housekeeping/Room Attendant

The Sheraton Indianapolis City Centre is a 378-room Full-Service hotel. We are now hiring for the Room Attendant position. Must be reliable and dependable.

Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-the-house areas (linen rooms and laundry areas), according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards. Essential Job Functions:

• Thoroughly clean the guest rooms assigned. Ensure the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room.
• Report any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms to a supervisor (i.e., burned-out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights, etc.). Immediately report any broken door locks to management.
• Keep the corridors and service areas neat at all times.
• Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room and section keys.

Job, Knowledge, Skills, and Other Requirements:

• Bend, stoop, stretch, twist, and reach to dust furniture, vacuum, clean bathrooms, and mirrors, change and make beds, etc.
• Able to communicate accurately and effectively with guests and associates.
