Location: Warehouse Operations & MaintenDepartment: Textbook OperationsArea:NortheastContract Months:12Salary Range: $30,700.00 – $50,656.00Academic Year: 24-25JOB SUMMARYUnder general supervision, performs diversified and moderately complex clerical duties. Position requires some use of individual judgment and knowledge of district policies and procedures and of automated systems.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES• Receives, classifies, reconciles, consolidates, and summarizes documents and information.• Compiles regular and special reports, following generally established formats and procedures.• Maintains general office and departmental files, following-up on misplaced, misdirected, or misfiled materials.• Processes and documents files in accordance with established procedures and monitors to assure completion.• May transfer files to storage and set up new files.• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUEDPerforms other job-related duties as assigned.EDUCATIONHigh School Diploma or GEDWORK EXPERIENCE1 to 3 yearsSKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION• Microsoft Office• Office equipment (e.g., computer, copier)• Chancery preferredLEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory or direct people management responsibilities. May provide occasional work guidance, technical advice and training to staff.WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENTWork and tasks are often straightforward, routine, structured and guided by established policies and procedures. Little, if any, independent judgment is required, outside of making basic choices in the selection and application of established methods. The job receives frequent, ongoing supervision.BUDGET AUTHORITYNo budget development activity is required.PROBLEM SOLVINGDecisions are made on routine matters affecting few individuals and usually within the confines of the job's own department. Specific job activities and results are typically reviewed closely. There are limited requirements for developing new ideas or changes in methods, procedures or services.IMPACT OF DECISIONSFollows rules and procedures. Decisions can have minimal or no impact to HISD. Errors can be readily detected, usually by the employee, and, if made, would result in minor expense for correction.COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONSBasic communication - very little communication required such as receiving basic instructions. Interactions are mostly with customers, own supervisor and co-workers in own department.CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPSFollows through with customer inquiries, requests and complaints.
