Purpose/Introduction

Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team at our Headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas. Responsibilities of the open position includes full-scale HR Generalist support for designated customer groups.
Responsibilities
- Involved in the development and implementation of strategic HR programs in partnership with the leadership and corporate HR teams
- Play a role in key HR initiatives including employee relations, workforce planning, recruiting/staffing, organizational development, talent/performance management
- Support the delivery and implementation of performance management deliverables including change management and engagement
- Lead by example in diversity, equity & inclusion
- Support the business by providing exemplary guidance in the areas of compensation, regulatory compliance and employee communications
- At times, the successful candidate may have the delegation of the HR Manager
- Other projects/duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resource management, business administration or related field and at least five (5) years of experience or High School Diploma/GED and at least five (8) years of professional HR experience, with a concentration of the experience in HR Generalist arena
- Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity – dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place with the capability to help define the process
- Ability to interact with and present information to all levels of employees in the organization including senior leaders
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically related to HR business plan implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to manage the design and implementation of HR programs and services, including experience in leading cross-functional project teams
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and including ability to create presentations appropriate for use with senior leaders
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize data to drive decision making
- A team-oriented focus, leadership skills and strong business acumen are important for successful performance in this position
- Must be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Must be willing to travel to various office/site locations
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong potential to assume future HR leadership roles
- Experience with SuccessFactors
- Experience with an HR digital transformation project or organization
- Corporate and Manufacturing experience
- Open and able to relocate to other CPChem facilities within the greater Houston area in the future
