Overview:

Aston Carter has an immediate internal opening for an HR Business Partner.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Business Partner serves as the Human Resources (HR) point of contact of a Region or department. The HRBP provides focused human resources consulting in the areas of workforce planning, analyzing policies and procedures, organizational development, leadership development, diversity, equity and inclusion, performance management, employee relations, succession planning, and talent management. This position will deliver corporate initiatives, assess issues and generate subsequent solutions, lead investigations, manage the implementation of enterprise-wide HR programs, and manage in a shared services environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Enhance and build the capability of the business by incorporating the people component into strategic planning, development and assessment
  • Collaborate with other HR partners (D&I, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Employee Relations) to enhance the service levels to customers
  • Advise regional and local leadership in matters relating to people, HR processes and policies, employment law, job title & compensation alignment, HR programs and the corresponding impact on the business and culture
  • Partner with leadership to create action plans to enhance employee engagement and drive diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Partner with leaders to assess, develop and elevate employees for succession planning programs
  • Advise and consult business leaders on performance management issues impacting business initiatives
  • Analyze people data (employee lifecycle surveys, retention data, etc. ) and information to identify gaps and make impacts improving business efficiency (Ex. virtual and on-site training needs in the areas of wellness, soft skills, performance plan management, etc.)
  • Confer with legal to lead internal claim investigations, and implement resolutions to employee relations matters involving internal employees
  • Provide individualized coaching to leadership, as required, to support the development and retention of engaged, self-motivated high-performing teams
  • Manage and drive project-based work that impacts the region/department or the company
  • Demonstrate behavior that promotes an inclusive work environment and supports operational activities that fosters diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Assess termination risks and lead offboarding process with internal employees
  • Collaborate with Senior HRBP and/or HR Director on organizational objectives

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:

  • BA/BS, in Human Resources or related field, Master's Degree or HR Certification preferred
  • 10-15 years professional experience
  • Computer software: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Use of PeopleSoft a plus
  • Current knowledge of HR practices and Employment Law
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects, be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to interact and communicate effectively with leadership
  • Prior Management experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, and time management skills

Special Requirements:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in Human Resources and Management, preferably with an emphasis in Strategic Human Resources
