Job Description
Role Purpose
Reporting to the Head of HR Operations with a dotted line report to the Global Mobility and Immigration Lead, the post holder will provide HR Operations and Immigration support to colleagues and engage with external vendors.
Main Responsibilities
-
Serves as a point of contact for to facilitate the review of potential immigration cases in partnership with Wood Mackenzie’s internal stakeholders and outside counsel.

Coordinate visa sponsorship approval with new and existing employees to assure sustainability of employment. Immigration process varies from H-1B, L-1, TN, etc.

Coordinate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders the recruitment and resume screening process as required by PERM Labor Certification.

Coordinate with outside counsel and outside counsel in completing the necessary forms and supporting documents to be filed with the DOL and USCIS.

Maintain and update internal immigration files with accurate and timely information and documentation.

Responsible for data entry and data integrity of visa information in the HR system.

Provide various letters of support for employees holding work visas in the US.

Provides financial support with invoice processing and budgeting/reforecast for immigration and global mobility matters.

Support I-9 e-Verify processes via Guardian

Triage and resolve requests via our HR Operations Portal.

Ensure complete and accurate employee data is maintained for reporting and compliance purposes.

Proactively contribute to the improvement of the HR Operations function, including processes and tools.

Collaborate with HR colleagues and the wider organisation to build trust and excellent relationships.
Qualifications
About You
-
Bachelor's degree in a related business discipline or the equivalent experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 1 year of experience supporting immigration within a business environment.

Experience of the processes around nonimmigrant and immigrant petition filing.

Knowledge of HR policies and processes, specifically with experience around recruitment activities for green card purposes.

Strong customer service orientation.

Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills; must be collaborative.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to prioritize competing demands and multitask.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and follow through to resolve outstanding issues.

Demonstrated ability to work with highly sensitive, confidential information.

Desire to interact with individuals from other countries and cultures and provide excellent customer service.

Proven ability to work efficiently both independently and as a contributing member of the Human Resources team and various other internal departments.

Ability to coordinate cases and work with strict timelines.

Ability to effectively interface with all levels of employees.

Experience with data management.
Strong computer skills including HRIS systems and MS Office suite
Additional Information

We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future.
