HRIS Analyst

The Role

NI is seeking a Human Resource Information Systems Analyst to join the HR Technology team. The HRIS Analyst’s primary role is providing technology solutions to enable HR to achieve business outcomes with increased efficiency, standardization, and innovation. The analyst designs, implements, supports, and optimizes the use of technology that empowers HR to deliver high value programs throughout the employee journey.

Core Responsibilities

  • Proactively evaluate new, or optimize existing, technologies to ensure systems continually evolve alongside changing business needs
  • Coordinate and manage HR system and data projects from initial discovery to implementation
  • Gather requirements from HR stakeholders and design and implement appropriate technology solutions
  • Design, configure and implement appropriate technology solutions
  • Prepare test cases and perform functional, acceptance, and regression testing to ensure quality
  • Partner with HR and IT to manage the release of system features and support adoption and change management
  • Utilize project management and documentation processes to ensure ease of support and knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside of HR to resolve issues
  • Assist with ongoing system support activities (issue management, prioritization, troubleshooting, and resolution)

  • Ownership and management of projects or issues from identification all the way through implementation and support
  • Focus on customer service and strong collaboration with partners and end users
  • Technical knowledge of HR systems and business acumen of HR processes
  • High level of quality in solutions delivered
  • Timely and proactive resolution of system, data, or process related problems
  • Strong project management, organization and communication skills

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or IT field or applicable experience
  • Technical mindset to understand system issues, data, and touchpoints
  • Solid project management skills and ability to pursue issues to closure
  • Solution driven with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Talent for translating business needs into system configuration, data, or other technical requirements
  • Capability to communicate clearly and with various types of audiences
  • Initiative and ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Excellent personal organizational and project planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with team members and internal customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in systems or business analysis, IT, or HR
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud HCM or other HR information systems
  • Experience with US Benefits systems
