The Role: HRIS Lead, People Operations

As part of the Gemini People Team, you’ll be on the ground floor of a quickly growing organization. As a Lead with the HRIS team, you'll be responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing our HRIS with a focus on ensuring data integrity and scalability. This individual will support our HR team and internal business partners. This is a key role in the development, on-going maintenance, and operational and technical support of all aspects of the Workday HCM system. In addition, this individual is expected to take a critical role in the design, implementation, deployment, and documentation of key HR projects that leverage the Workday platform and/or related third-party vendor applications. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the Workday HCM system expert and primary point-of-contact for day-to-day support of business processes, integrations, reporting, and dashboards to ensure consistent, high-quality business operations
  • Partner with our HR team and other internal stakeholders to help them define business requirements, implement, test, and deploy additional HCM modules, changes to business processes, or integrations as needed
  • Develop system reporting and analytics to enable our HR business partners to identify trends and to empower leadership decision-making
  • Work with our Security team to manage security re-assignments, user access and permissions, and integrations-related security issues
  • Support and testing for Workday system updates or upgrades
  • Identify system gaps and deficiencies, and if applicable, suggest best practices or process improvements to help fill those gaps
  • Conduct long-term improvement projects to ensure compatibility with the company’s evolving business applications landscape and needs

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, technology-related field, or in or comparable work experience
  • 5+ years of Workday HRIS experience
  • 3+ years of Workday Studio experience
  • Extensive integration development experience with Workday Studio, Core connectors, BIRT development and experience building and maintaining benefits and 3rd party integrations including the ability to create complex reports or other templates from scratch.
  • Strong configuration knowledge of Workday HCM, including Core HCM , Absence Management, Benefits, Compensation,
  • Advanced Compensation Payroll, and Time Tracking.
  • Strong Workday Reporting including Advanced Reports, Matrix and composite reports.
  • Understand Workday security, SOX compliance, and controls to effectively manage and maintain security and roles.
  • Experience working with confidential information and critical business operations and processes
  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements or objectives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment with aggressive timelines and delivery dates
  • Project management skills including: organization, prioritization, and time management; ability to juggle short-term and longer-term initiatives; ability to reprioritize accordingly to meet immediate needs.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions, make recommendations and implement changes accordingly, in a timely manner
  • Demonstrated judgment and ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters effectively
  • Proficiency with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Sheets).
  • Familiarity with human capital policies and procedures to ensure the HRIS functionality maintains compliance
