HubSpot is seeking a data-driven, customer-centric, and highly collaborative Senior Product Manager to join our growing team. You’ll be responsible for the vision, strategy, and impact of HubSpot’s Global Search. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role, which sits in our Discovery Group alongside teams working on HubSpot's Global Navigation, Notifications, and other greenfield initiatives aiming to increase user efficiency and discoverability of the HubSpot product.
HubSpot customers use Global Search to navigate across HubSpot to find the right data that helps them get their job done as effectively as possible. Search is a critical area of the product used by millions of users and all product teams, so even a small change to the experience will make a huge difference to all of our users. We get about 2M searches every day and over half a million weekly active users! So you will have the opportunity to see your team’s work in the hands of millions of users promptly. You’ll need to be incremental in your development process and ready to experiment.
Search has the unique ability to incorporate AI naturally in the job it serves, enabling you to develop creative vision setting skills and pave a path that hasn’t been explored previously. As such, you need to be comfortable with ambiguity, drawing insights from users in a way they can’t always articulate, and working well cross-functionally so you can partner with our AI and Growth product groups.
An example project you’d be working on is increasing the relevance of search results through personalization based on user interactions, which will require comfort working with skilled back-end engineers and systems. You’ll also be focused on finding ways to surface data in the Search Results Page to allow customers to make the right choice when selecting a search result.
As the team grows, you will work with a larger number of people and scale your impact overtime. As an expert Search SPM you will have influence over the entire Discovery group direction and help with projects beyond Search that seek to increase discoverability and efficiency across HubSpot. That’s why you need to be comfortable learning about different domains quickly and contributing your expertise proactively across several teams. If this sounds like your next challenge, read on!
