Title: Human Ergonomics Engineer
Location: Remote
Education: B.S. or higher in human factors, ergonomics, industrial engineering, cognitive engineering, psychology, or other related field
Experience: Minimum 2-5 years of experience working in a human-factors role preferably within construction, automotive, industrial, or related field (may be recent grad with sufficient internship or research experience)
Responsibilities:
- Analyze user goals, sensory inputs, workflows, and tasks within scope of components to identify key user requirements, gaps, and opportunities
- Analyze form and function for ease of use, cognitive cues
- Identify immediate research / assessment needs and partner with teams to develop and participate in evaluations
- Document key attributes and strategic guidelines
- Suggest quick wins, longer term research and development, and next steps
Skills:
- Must possess a thorough understanding human factors science, theories, models, and research methodologies as well as knowledge and application of ergonomic principles
- Experience in understanding and utilizing anthropometric data
- Experience in developing and conducting ergonomic assessments, usability testing, and task flow analyses
- Able to produce results independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Outstanding communication, organization, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in utilizing ergonomics and layouts tools highly desired
- PowerPoint and Excel proficiency
