Risk Manager - UCITS & AIFs

HI Partners is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Risk Manager for one of its best client in order to join their team in overseeing the risk management function for UCITS and AIFs. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with investment funds.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Refine and enhance the comprehensive risk management policy and framework to incorporate technological advancements and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee both the initial and ongoing Risk Profiling process, which includes an evaluation of sustainability-related risks.
• Develop and optimize Risk Reports, including specific reporting packages related to sustainability risks.
• Assess, validate, and strengthen Sustainability Risk models.
• Conduct regular evaluations of Liquidity Risk, including the implementation of stress testing methodologies.
• Support the valuation process for Infrastructure Debt investments.
• Analyze investment restrictions pertaining to illiquid assets, both prior to and subsequent to trades.

• A Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Business Mathematics; additional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA will be considered advantageous.
• A minimum of four years of professional experience in risk management and/or valuation within the Real Estate and/or Private Equity/Infrastructure investment fund sectors.
• Experience with sustainability risk models and the management of sustainability risks.
• Comprehensive understanding of the risk and return profiles of real asset investments, including primary valuation methodologies.
• Familiarity with the EU regulatory framework pertaining to Risk Management.
• Exceptional numerical and analytical capabilities, accompanied by a strong foundation in fundamental investment analysis.
• A proactive, meticulous, adaptable, and results-driven work approach.
• An effective team player who is dynamic and resilient, with the capacity to operate independently.
• Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel; additional IT/programming skills (e.g., Power BI, VBA, Python, R) will be viewed favorably.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of German is an added advantage.
